Another World Class Name Chooses Watson and Hillhouse
We are proud to announce our appointment as the exclusive UK Agents for Chinese manufacturer SANY, to supply their full range of drilling rigs and hydraulic crawler cranes. The Sany range of drilling rigs covers both rotary and CFA, whilst the hydraulic crawler crane range includes; 50ton, 80ton, 100ton, 150ton and 400ton units. The Sany mission statement is “ Quality Changes The World” and we believe that the quality of Sany’s products coupled with very competitive prices and good delivery times gives them a very strong USP. We are therefore very excited at the prospect of introducing the Sany brand to the UK market.
Kowan Still Worker ZU-100 heralds a quiet revolution in Europe
The first ever static load noise and vibration free hydraulic pile pressing machine that is capable of driving and extracting both ‘U’ and ‘Z’ section piles is to be unveiled by Watson & Hillhouse at the BAUMA 2007 exhibition in Munich, which is entirely fitting given the current preference of installing ‘Z’ piles throughout Germany, Holland and Scandinavia.
The revolutionary Kowan Still Worker ZU-100 boasts not only dual pile section executions but, is also capable of driving the newer wider section sheet piles. The ‘Z’ pile range is from 575mm to 700mm width and the ‘U’ piles range from 700mm to 750mm width. As well as the flexibility afforded to the operator/contractor, there can also be significant cost benefits that should have a direct bearing on project budgets. The ZU model will also have the mast tilting function, a feature that is exclusive to Kowan and is unique to Kowan Still Worker models.
Watson & Hillhouse believe that the new ZU Model, together with their long established WP-150 Still Worker, enables them to offer the sheet pile driving market complete cover for environmentally acceptable pile placing.
There will be a working demonstration of the revolutionary Kowan Still Worker ZU-100 every hour at the Watson & Hillhouse Stand (F10/N1016/3) at BAUMA 2007, from 23rd – 29th April and the Still Worker will then be available for hire/demonstrations throughout Europe
Growth Continues in the UK Silent Sheet Piling Market
Specialist piling equipment supplier Watson and Hillhouse has had a record 12 months of sales for their Kowan Still Worker Model WP-150 silent and vibration-free sheet pile pressing machine. At the end of 2005 Northern Ireland contractor Graham Ltd purchased their second pile pressing machine. In 2006 Apppleton Piling invested in two machines, the first in January and the second in November, specialist construction services contractor J. Reddington entered the market with the purchase of their first machine in March and Commercial Marine and Piling bought their first unit in April. Watson and Hillhouse also succeeded in supplying the first ever silent and vibration-free machine to be sold into France to their sub agent ICE France. Watson and Hillhouse have been the European agents for the state of the art machine manufactured in Japan by Kowan (formerly Tosa) since 1989. The Still Worker is often the only option when working in very sensitive locations as sheet piles can be pressed into the ground as close as 500mm to an existing building. Fussey Piling also ordered two new WP-150’s at the end of 2006 to replace their existing machines which will be delivered early in 2007. |
