Piling Equipment Sales and Hire since 1972
Watson & Hillhouse have specialised in the provision of piling equipment since 1972, building a worldwide reputation for service and technical expertise that, together with huge resources, places us in the forefront of the industry.
Piling equipment from the world's leading manufacturers
We devote major effort to identifying and obtaining the best plant for virtually any requirement. Our investment of more than £10m in equipment represents the UK's most comprehensive range of piling equipment, and a policy of continual replacement makes plant available for second-user sales alongside our hire and new equipment sales businesses.
National and international service and back up
On-site maintenance can be provided anywhere in the world, while in the UK our service engineers' fully equipped service vehicles are fitted with the latest GPS Satellite tracking systems and mobile telephone link up, which means any of our engineers can be located and re-directed to a breakdown as soon as the call is logged. Should conditions, circumstances and requirements change on site, our large stocks of piling equipment are kept ready for immediate dispatch.
Minimising down-time, maximising service
In any operation it is essential that equipment operates at peak efficiency with minimum downtime. As a result we have built the UK's first (and currently only) 'absolute refusal' piling equipment test bed. This is used to determine the suitability of any piece of piling plant for a particular application, and for testing every item of equipment before we supply it to the customer.
All equipment - for hire or sale - is subject to rigorous inspection, and any necessary remedial work is carried out in our specially equipped workshops by qualified staff. We operate a full apprenticeship scheme - helping to provide the specialist skills, commitment and reliability necessary to customer service, and all staff undergo regular product update training. This expertise is also available through contract maintenance on contractors' own equipment.
