As Watson & Hillhouse are ISO14001 accredited, we are always looking at ways to improve our business and the effects it has on the environment.
We’ve recently taken the decision to upgrade some of our power packs by retrofitting them to stage 5 engines. Not only is it more environmentally friendly to run stage 5 engines, but we also decided to upgrade/recycle our current fleet rather than disposing of them and buying new, another positive for the environment. Working with Driveline Emissions, they are retrofitting their ecoNoxt system which includes a diesel particle filter and selective catalytic reduction. This takes the engines up to stage 5 for particulate and NOx levels. The system is certified against the UK government’s NRMM requirements.
